NEAR MINT, SWEDISH AG-42B LJUNGMAN RIFLE

This is an original, WWII, Swedish AG-42B Ljungman semi-automatic rifle manufactured by Carl Gustafs in 1943. It is chambered for the 6.5x55mm Swiss cartridge. The AG-42B was the first semi-automatic rifle adopted by the Swedish military. It uses a direct gas impingement system of operation. This rifle is in excellent, near new condition. It retains more than 98% of its original factory finish. The rifle has a mint bore and excellent mechanics. Given the appearance of the bolt face and magazine follower, it actually appears to be unfired. The stock is nearly perfect. The only wear on the gun is the butt plate, from being set on the ground. Apparently it was only used for ceremony, drill, or possibly guard duty. The stock is excellent with just a couple of tiny scratches near the butt. Included is an original leather sling in excellent, un-issued condition. There are importer marks on the barrel. The rifle is equipped with night sights and comes with the original cleaning kit. This is as fine an example of the AG-42B Ljungman as you are likely to find. Stock no. 20793
