VERY FINE, CHILEAN MODEL 1895 MAUSER RIFLE BY DWM WITH BAYONET

This is a Chilean Model 1895 Mauser Rifle manufactured by Deutsche Waffen-und Munitionsfabriken of Berlin, Germany. The stock cartouche is dated 1898. Included is an original M1895 Bayonet. This rifle is in very fine to excellent condition. The metal retains nearly 100% of its factory blued finish. The bolt has all of its factory bright finish. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock is very fine, but does have some very small dings and scratches from storage. The rifle is all matching, including the stock and cleaning rod. The receiver has a full Chilean crest and the stock has all inspector's marks present. The bayonet is in excellent condition, but does not match the rifle. The bayonet and scabbard are mis-matched as well. The bayonet remains factory bright and the scabbard retains nearly 100% of its blued finish. There are two small dents in the scabbard. This is an outstanding example of what is arguably the best of the South American Mausers.
