Item :	WWII JAPANESE TYPE 14 NAMBU PISTOL

This is an original, WWII Japanese Type 14 semi-automatic pistol chambered for the 8mm Nambu cartridge. This is a war time production pistol with a large trigger guard. Included is an original issue holster. The pistol is in very good condition. It retains about 85% of its wartime blued finish. There is some holster wear near the muzzle and on the high points of the receiver. The trigger guard and front strap are just beginning to turn brown. There are some minor speckles of surface rust on the frame. The mechanics work well. The bore is a little dark, but exhibits strong rifling along its length. The right grip panel is fine, but there are several dings on the left panel. The original holster is of the rubberized canvas variety, with a leather hinge. Like most of these, it is rock hard. Fortunately, it hardened with the pistol in place, and has maintained its shape beautifully. The pistol holsters easily and the leather hinge allows the clamshell lid to open and close. The fastener strap is missing. The magazine is in very good condition. All in all, a very nice example of a wartime Nambu.
