13 1/2 Inches overall with a wide, single edged 8 1/2 inch brilliant blade. Blade may have been lightly sharpened once. Beautiful brass guard with "US/Springfield" on the left and SN# 1521 on the right. Beautiful turned hardwood hilt. Fine Black saddle leather scabbard with brass throat and belt hook. Brass belt hook stamped "RIA". Overall excellent condition.
