CONFEDERATE AUGUSTA ARSENAL PIKE

Description :

96 Inches overall with a spear point 12 inch double edged blade. Right ricasso of blade stamped, "CSA" in 1/2 inch letters. Blade is a mixture of bright and plum brown patina. Oval iron guard. 2 Inch ferrule with 17 inch iron langet straps extending along either side of the haft. Heavy black walnut haft 1 1/2 inch in diameter ends in a heavy iron ring grounding iron at the base. Issued to Southern Militia Forces these Confederate Pikes are often missing from even the most advanced Civil War Collections. Dark untouched condition. Scarce!
